Based on reviews, I purchased this rose last fall and anxiously waited for blooms to appear. When they did I started to notice holes in the new top leaves and a squiggly creature. I went to my local garden center and purchased an organic treatment that was recommended. When the booms opened, they have black spot. Fragrance us divine. I'm hoping we blooms will look better.

Raleigh; hot and dry. I put a Savannah in a big pot with a bag of potting soil and this is what happened. Disease resistant; yes, very. Frangrant; yes, very. Easy. Compact. The blooms are beautiful and it is constantly in bloom. Blooms are smallish, hybrid tea form, high centered. Beautiful pink color.
Best. Smell. Ever. Just, WOW

I love visiting botanical gardens and taking special note of the roses I like. I smelled Savanna Sunbelt in the Missouri Botanical Gardens and it had a fragrance that just bowled me over--I had to possess it in my garden! My search led me to Jackson & Perkins. The plants came very carefully packed and healthy. They bloomed the first year, and are really fantastic. They are slow to grow, but my soil is poor. I wish I had planted them in raised beds or tall planters that are more nose-height. It doesn't matter, when they are blooming I get down on my knees to inhale them, just amazing. I want dozens more!
