A large climbing and spreading rose, Peppermint Party grows vigorously, reaching a mature size of 8 to 10 feet tall and about 4 feet wide. Its strong, medium-long, arching canes have dense, glossy, olive-green foliage. It blooms heavily throughout the season, from late spring to late fall, in clusters of 3-inch spiraled flowers. The shapely double blooms have 25 soft-yellow to cream petals heavily edged in red. The flowers emit a fruity fragrance and make nice cuts for the vase.
Peppermint Party has good disease resistance. This highly versatile rose can be grown on trellises, poles, arches, and pillars; trained along fences or walls; or allowed to fountain on its own.
