A large climbing and spreading rose, Peppermint Party grows vigorously, reaching a mature size of 8 to 10 feet tall and about 4 feet wide. Its strong, medium-long, arching canes have dense, glossy, olive-green foliage. It blooms heavily throughout the season, from late spring to late fall, in clusters of 3-inch spiraled flowers. The shapely double blooms have 25 soft-yellow to cream petals heavily edged in red. The flowers emit a fruity fragrance and make nice cuts for the vase.
Peppermint Party has good disease resistance. This highly versatile rose can be grown on trellises, poles, arches, and pillars, trained along fences or walls, or allowed to fountain on its own.
