Rapid-Repeat Blooms, Full Petaled and Fragrant

Full-petaled, fragrant flowers are rare in climbing roses.

A Jackson & Perkins introduction, this climber features prolific, repeat cycles of elegant, hybrid tea blooms, full petaled and spicy scented—rare in a climber. Abundant and appealing, pointed buds open into large, 4-inch double blooms, ranging in hue from medium to deep pink, debuting in late spring and continuing in awe-inspiring waves into fall on this Social Climber Climbing Rose.

Growing to 6 feet in height and 4 feet in width, Social Climber Climbing Rose adds bright splashes of color to walls, fences, rails, and trellises—almost anything that it can climb. Or Social Climber Climbing Rose can stand on its own in a mixed bed where it will send up shoots that gracefully arch to the ground with age. Social Climber Climbing Rose compact habit (for a climber) and rich, dark green foliage maintain garden interest between flushes of flowers.

Social Climber Climbing Rose thrives in full sun and moist, well-drained soil, which should be checked at least once per week, in the morning, to protect against standing water. In colder climates, a layer of 3 to 4 inches of mulch should be spread around the base before the ground freezes. Prune Social Climber Climbing Rose after the blooming season has ended before winter arrives.

Great Rose
This shopper rated the product 5 out of 5 stars

I have had my Social Climber for close to 20 years and every summer she climbs and blooms like a champ! I live in zone 4 and planted it right next to the front porch for a little extra protection from our occasional winter deep freeze temperatures of -20 to -30.

Amazing climber! Planted spring 2023, at 1 season old this beauty has filled my 7 foot obelisk and easily has 100 blooms in the first early summer flush. I am shocked as squirrels ate the early growth but she bounced back with ease. Words cannot describe how gorgeous this rose is,

update to my review

I was upset that this rose was salmon and not pink, so I called customer service thinking maybe my soil was the problem. It wasn't. They have given me a refund for my purchase and were very understanding. Perhaps the rose was marked incorrectly, It is beautiful and healthy and I will find it a new home with my daughter. I only garden in pink and purple and white so that was my only complaint, it just clashed. But hopefully I will try again and have another beautiful healthy rose from J&P Thank you so much.

Beautiful roses

I purchase two social climbing roses for a garden area next to my patio. I planted in fall of 2014 and had some incredible roses this summer. Now in the fall it is growing like mad! They are planted on each side of a lattice and I have used Velcro gardens strips to hold them as they have grown. You won't be disappointed

Fabulous!
This shopper rated the product 5 out of 5 stars

Out of 7 roses received from J&P last year, this is only 1 out of the 2 survivors and it is beautiful! It is growing well along a black trellis and has several blooms. I have over 25 roses and was disappointed that so many of the ones from J&P did not survive the winter.(only 2 of 7 came back). They were unique and most of them had beautiful blooms last summer. We had a cold winter, but my roses from other companies all returned and look beautiful. I hate that because the ones from J&P were so pretty last summer. I really think the potted roses from J&P do better at surviving cold winters although last summer I had convinced myself to go with bare root roses because they grew and bloomed so quickly.
