The result of over 50 years of cultivation.
The Royal Heritage™ Strain Hellebore is a hybrid strain of Helleborus, undergoing a 50-year process of cultivation to blossom into a wide range of rich colors, including maroon, red, white, near black and pink. This perennial also has blooms in yellow and pale green. Each plant has 2-inch blossoms with overlapping petals and displays its own unique color. Helleborus Royal Heritage™ Strain's blooming season starts in early winter and ends in early spring; it is bred to have a long flowering season, blooming for five months out of a year. Its foliage is a rich, medium green with leathery, serrated leaves.
The Helleborus Royal Heritage™ Strain rose grows to a height of 18 to 24 inches and a width of 2 to 3 feet. It grows well in partial to full shade and in moist, well-drained soil. It also fares well in clay. It is exceptional because it is extremely low maintenance and very permanent. Helleborus Royal Heritage™ Strain is highly deer, disease and pest resistant and heat, humidity and drought tolerant.
