Helleborus HGC® Ice N' Roses® Frosted Rose Hellebore brings refined beauty to the winter garden, blooming from January through April. Its upright flowers display cream centers with a delicate greenish tint, finished with strong pink edges. Large, palmate leaves in dark green rise on red stems, forming an evergreen mound about 16 inches tall.
Frosted Rose graces beds, borders, and garden plantings, and it is a sophisticated choice for containers on terraces, balconies, and entrances, where its upward facing blooms can be admired. Vigorous and robust, it delivers a long season of flowers. Compose an elegant planting with Geranium, Brunnera, Sedum, Viola, and Muscari. It belongs to the Ice N' Roses® series from Heuger.
Plant in sun to part shade, ideally in part shade, though it adapts gracefully to sunnier locations. Water moderately. Hardy in Zones 5 to 9, it is best planted in spring or fall when the ground is not frozen. Evergreen foliage provides year round structure. Each plant is supplied in a 6 inch pot. Pink edged, cream winter flowers held upright on a robust plant give Frosted Rose its distinctive allure.
