Vigorous, free-blooming plant!

Fragrant blooms of richest red have a classic beauty to which few can compare!

All-America Rose Selection, 1965. Nearly thirty years after it won the AARS, 'Mister Lincoln' is still considered by many Rose experts the best red Rose ever! One look shows you why -- the dark red blooms are suffused with rich color and have the classic hybrid tea form, high-centered and symmetrical. If you're looking for the perfect red, 'Mister Lincoln' is the fragrant, free-blooming choice!

Rich glowing maroon buds open their velvet petals to form perfect, high-centered, fully double, 3- to 4-inch flowers of lively red that doesn't fade. Wonderfully fragrant, the long-lasting flowers are freely produced on long stems, perfect for cutting and exhibition.

'Mister Lincoln' is a vigorous grower with a long bloom season and fine adaptability to adverse weather conditions. A favorite among discerning gardeners for generations, it is a splendid addition to any setting.

Generously proportioned to bear a 3' diameter ball of blooms, this tree rose offers a formal, ultra-colorful look for any setting. Very well-branched, it's dense with healthy foliage and more flowering stems than ever before! The perfect accent for patio, balcony, and deck, it also stands out in pairs flanking a doorway or garden entrance. Zones 5-9.

In 1990 we planted 7 Jackson Perkins rose trees in Pleasanton, CA. I see that several of them are still alive today. Mr. Lincoln was one of those rose trees. Was it my absolute favorite? It was tied with two others, well, since I can't remember the names, yes, it was my favorite. A new Mr. Lincoln tree is in our linae. Within days of soaking and planting, the buds are out and growing. I am looking forward to blooms!
