Description
A Fuller Display of Frilled White-and-Pink Holiday Blooms

Make an even greater holiday impression with two Harlequin Amaryllis bulbs planted together in the Joyous Season container. Known for its fully double blooms and delicately ruffled petals, Harlequin produces flowers up to 5 inches across, with crisp white petals edged in rosy pink. The larger Joyous Season planter, finished in glossy red textured metal, provides a beautiful showcase for this abundant floral presentation.

With two bulbs growing and blooming over time, this gift creates a fuller display of color and texture throughout the season. Reaching approximately 18–24 inches tall and producing multiple stems and blooms, Harlequin typically blooms in approximately 6–8 weeks. The recipient receives a pre-planted gift that arrives already beginning to grow and ready to enjoy.

  • Includes two Harlequin amaryllis bulbs for a fuller floral display.
  • Double blooms feature ruffled white petals edged in soft pink.
  • Glossy red Joyous Season planter adds festive seasonal style.
  • Arrives planted in its decorative container and ready to grow.
  • Multiple stems and blooms provide weeks of indoor beauty.
  • An impressive living gift that can be enjoyed again with proper post-bloom care.

Watching the display develop is part of what makes this gift so memorable. Fresh green shoots emerge first, followed by sturdy stems and elegant buds that gradually unfurl into layers of frilled blooms. With two bulbs sharing the same planter, the display becomes even more impressive as additional flowers open throughout the season.

Our amaryllis bulb gift arrives just starting to grow, so the joy begins right away. It's a treat to watch as it changes a little each day—stretching taller, forming buds, and eventually blooming in bright, beautiful color. The display lasts for weeks, sometimes even longer, making it a cheerful addition to any space. Every gift comes with our Amaryllis Care Guide, so it's easy to keep the plant happy well past the holidays. With just a bit of care after blooming, it can come back year after year—a gift that keeps on growing.

Amaryllis Care Guide

ARRIVAL:

Each amaryllis bulb arrives pre-planted in a grower's pot nestled in its decorative container and in the first stages of growth. Remove packing material on top of the container and add water until soil is moist.

BLOOM TIME:

Blooms will appear 6 to 12 weeks after arrival, depending on variety. As each bloom fades, simply remove. Some amaryllis send up the flower stalk first, followed by the leaves; others develop leaves first, followed by the flower stalk.

Note: If your amaryllis requires extra support to hold up its huge blooms, simply insert one of our attractive decorative amaryllis stakes into the soil next to the bulb.

REBLOOMING:

Your amaryllis can bloom every Christmas for years to come by following these simple steps:

  • After blooming has finished, cut the flower stalk off 1 to 2 inches above the bulb. The leaves will continue to grow and nourish the bulb. Continue watering throughout the summer months. Fertilize as you see fit with a liquid fertilizer.
  • In mid to late August, begin to withhold water to induce dormancy. The foliage will die as the pot dries out. Remove old leaves. Store bulb in a dry, dark location with temperatures between 45° to 55°F. Keep bulb dormant for a minimum of 8 weeks or longer if possible.
  • 6 to 8 weeks before blooms are desired, return to room temperature, repot the bulb in fresh soil, move it into the light, and resume watering, lightly until new shoots appear, then keep soil moist.
Winter Radiance Harlequin Amaryllis

PLACEMENT:

Place your amaryllis in direct sunlight with room temperatures ranging between 65° to 75°F. Blooms will last longer if moved to a cool spot between 55° to 65°F at night. Turn regularly to keep stems from leaning toward the light source.

WATER/FEEDING:

Keep the soil moist but not soggy.

No fertilization is necessary for this growing season, as the bulb has all the nutrients needed. For future fertilization, Jackson & Perkins offers a selection of fertilizer & plant care products. We suggest using AlgoPlus Fertilizer for the general health and maintenance of your plant.

TRANSPLANTING:

In Zones 8 to 11, your amaryllis can be transplanted outdoors in spring into organic, well-drained soil in full sun to part shade. Exception would be specialty exotic amaryllis, such as Papillio, which are recommended to be kept as houseplants indoors everywhere.

IMPORTANT: Ornamental plant material should not be eaten. Keep away from pets and children.
