Turn up the heat with sizzling double blooms on a heavy-blooming shrub.
Hybridized by Keith Zary for Jackson & Perkins, Hot Tamale Miniature Rose proves that short on space doesn't have to mean short on impact. Just 2 feet or less in stature, this diminutive rose creates a big show in even the smallest container space. Though Hot Tamale Miniature Rose perfect hybrid tea form blooms grow to little more than 2 inches in width (a lovely size for mixed bouquets), they flaunt blended colors of orange, red, hot pink, and a bright yellow reverse, displaying a myriad of sizzling colors on each shrub.
The miniature size results in giant versatility. The hearty shrubs make a dramatic display in the garden or in containers, but Hot Tamale Miniature Rose also have tremendous appeal in the foreground of a sunny border as cover-up for taller roses, leggy phlox, and small shrubs.
Perhaps best of all, Hot Tamale Miniature Rose is long-lasting, disease-resistant, and more durable than many miniatures of the past. This compact shrub provides either dazzling accents or dynamic star power to your floral display.

Please read and follow the instructions below carefully to keep your plant healthy. Thoroughly water your new plant upon arrival, but do not over water.
Remove faded blooms to encourage reblooming.
Display your miniature roses in a well-ventilated area that gets at least 4 hours of bright, indirect light each day and, ideally, maintains a temperature around 70°F.
Keep soil moist but not soggy. To water, remove the plant from its basket or outer container, water over a sink, and allow the pot to drain before returning to its container.
Apply complete liquid fertilizer at half strength every 4 weeks throughout the growing and flowering season, typically late spring to late fall.
Jackson & Perkins offers a selection of fertilizer & plant care products for roses.
Remove any dead or yellow leaves.
Miniature roses may be moved outside when the bloom display has finished and the chance of frost has passed. Select an area in your garden that has good drainage and receives at least 6 hours of sun each day. Or transplant your rose into a larger pot and enjoy on a sunny porch or patio.
