Frankly Scarlet Floribunda Rose

Highly Floriferous | 4-Inch Flowers

Frankly, you will regret it if you don't choose Frankly Scarlet for your garden. Named after the beginning of the most famous line from one of the most famous movies ever made, this bold red floribunda is a showstopper. Pass this one up and you'll be hungry again for its magnificent color and slight peppery perfume.

An instant classic for much more than its reference to "Gone With the Wind," Frankly Scarlet features striking beauty and clear, powerful presence with quick reblooming of prodigious clusters of 4-inch flowers on 12- to 16-inch stems. Complementing the color and stylish form is the peppery aroma, which grows stronger as the blooms mature.

The intoxicating blooms, containing 20 to 25 petals developed from long, pointed ovoid buds, are produced throughout the summer season on a plant that grows to only 3 feet in height and width on a neat, compact habit ideal for hedges and containers. The very glossy, dark green foliage is beautiful year-round and highly resistant to disease.

Frankly Scarlet can handle a prime position in your garden or add zest to an assortment of purple and yellow. Regardless how you display it, you'll be glad you didn't let it slip away.

Plant in well-drained soil in full sun. Spring pruning is recommended. Old and dead wood should be removed and canes that cross need to be cut back. Gardeners in warmer climates should cut back the remaining canes by about one-third, while those in colder areas will probably want to prune a little more.
