Description
A showy gem that elevates woodland gardens with lovely, large flowers

Trillium grandiflorum is a beloved native woodland wildflower. Growing 6 to 12 inches tall and 6 inches wide, this elegant perennial blooms in late spring, with a stout stem topped by a whorl of 3 ovate bracts and a large, outward-facing white flower with 3 large petals.

Also known as great white trillium, this rhizomatous perennial (Zones 3-9) is a hardy and slow-spreading species, perfect for shaded woodland gardens. Thriving in partial to dappled shade with organically rich, well-drained soil, Trillium grandiflorum pairs effortlessly with ferns, creating serene and naturalized garden spaces. With minimal care, it's a lasting treasure for years of enjoyment.

Plant trillium roots in spring, spacing them 12 inches apart and 2 inches deep. As a native North American species, it enhances biodiversity while thriving with little intervention, making it an eco-friendly choice for pollinator-friendly gardens. Sadly, great white trillium populations in the wild are now endangered, but you can support their survival by planting them in your garden. Our plants are nursery-propagated and always commercially grown, never harvested from the wild.
