Geranium 'Rozanne'

Description

Voted One of the Top Ten Best Plants of the Centenary by RHS

Winner of the Plant of the Year® award in 2008

Royal Horticulturist Society Award of Garden Merit 2006

It is easy to see why Geranium 'Rozanne' has been called "The Geranium of the Millennium." This versatile and hardy variety blooms all season long and loves the heat and humidity best. It has won numerous awards and impressed gardeners world-wide from its garden trials at the University of Georgia to the Chelsea Flower Show. In fact, the Royal Horticultural Society has named 'Rozanne' the "Plant of the Centenary," the society's top honor in 100 years of flower shows.

With such an impressive resume, Geranium 'Rozanne' shouldn't need to speak for itself—but it certainly does. The vibrant 1-inch blooms begin in early summer in shades of striking violet-blue and a large white eye. Whereas most geranium varieties begin to wilt in mid-summer when the temperatures soar, Geranium 'Rozanne' continues with the spectacular bloom show all the way through early fall. Gardeners love to plant these beauties in beds, borders, patios, and containers as they are not picky in their habit. Geranium 'Rozanne' will reach 16 to 24 inches tall and 18 to 24 inches wide at its peak.
