The photo is original and from the entrant's own garden or landscape
Only light, natural edits were made

Photo Tips

A few easy ways to make your rose photo stand out.

Chase kind light

Early morning, late afternoon, or bright overcast light keeps texture in pale petals and depth in saturated pinks and reds.

Simplify the background

Shift your angle, crop carefully, and let the rose lead. Don't allow tags, fencing, or clutter steal focus.

Name the variety

Variety identification makes the contest more useful to shoppers and much easier to verify for judging.

Keep edits believable

Light exposure and contrast adjustments are fine. Heavy filters, text overlays, and artificial effects weaken trust.
