A floribunda rose, Mysterious was bred by Nola M. Simpson in New Zealand and is only available in the U.S. at Jackson & Perkins. Mysterious flowers heavily in continuous waves over a long season, from late spring to late fall. Borne in small clusters, the 3-inch semidouble blooms have 9 to 16 russet brown petals and a cream-colored center. The mildly fragrant flowers are ideal for cutting. Just one snip makes a lovely bouquet.
Mysterious is a small bush with a compact, upright habit and good disease resistance. Highly versatile, floribunda roses make excellent landscape, garden bed, hedge, border, and container plants.
