Jackson & Perkins Introduction 2008

All-America Rose Selections (AARS) Winner 2008

A floribunda rose, Mardi Gras flowers heavily in continuous waves over a long season, from late spring to late fall. The flowers are borne in dazzling clusters of apricot-orange to red buds and blended bright pink, orange, and yellow blooms. The 4-inch double blooms have 20 petals and a light spicy fragrance. The flowers are ideal for cutting. Just one snip makes a lovely bouquet.

The medium-sized bush has a rounded, bushy habit and good disease resistance. This is a versatile rose that works well in landscapes, garden beds, hedges, or borders.

NOTE: Tree and patio roses are hardy to Zone 6 regardless of the rose variety grafted to their tops.

Mardi Gras Floribunda Rose

Nice rose! I have enjoyed this rose a lot and looks like it is coming back strong for its 2nd season. The color is more vermilion orange and no yellow. It produced several nice flower last year. It is not an especially fast grower.

A Great Little Rose

This shopper rated the product 5 out of 5 stars

Mardi Gras is a great, mostly carefree rose. The color is very striking, the bush itself is very well behaved with great vigor, it is very disease resistant, and it blooms a lot. There aren't really any negatives about the plant, except that the bloom size shrinks a bit in heat (as most do) and there's only a light fragrance (although this varies).

Showy

I'm not a big fan of roses because of the maintenance in Washington State. However I received this as a gift from a friend and found that it is my favorite plant and the blooms are well worth the effort. Just beautiful!
