Lavandula Lavish® Pink Lavender is an evergreen perennial (tender in Zone 6 and below) that blooms spring and summer. The massive compound flowers are covered in pale dusty rose-pink-colored bracts and come in abundance. Borne on short stalks above highly aromatic silvery gray foliage, the flowers are powerfully perfumed and attract masses of bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds. They make excellent additions to fresh or dried arrangements and are popular for crafts and potpourri.
A Lavandula stoechas, commonly called butterfly lavender, French lavender, or Spanish lavender, Lavish Pink Lavender is native to Spain, Portugal, and Italy. It is a compact plant with a tight, upright, mounding habit and medium growth rate. This lavender is perfect for the bed or border front and makes an excellent specimen or "thriller" in a container garden. It works especially well in waterwise gardens.
An easy-care plant, Lavandula Lavish Pink Lavender grows best in sunny locations with well-draining soil but adapts to most soils and tolerates poor soils, drought, and heat. Water deeply when soil is nearly dry. The plant is deer resistant.
