Everbearing and easy to maintain.
Item Form: Bare Root
One of life's purest pleasures is a handful of 'Jewel' raspberries straight from the bush. Pure black, juicy-sweet, and with very few seeds, this Cumberland type raspberry has been a favorite forever, and no wonder. It's an everbearing delight that always delivers big crops of scrumptious berries.
The plant reaches about 4 feet high and just 2 feet wide. Very long-lived, it likes plenty of water (especially the first season) and sunshine. It begins bearing in early summer and continues right into fall in most climates, so just about any time you go in the garden in search of berries, ripe ones will be waiting for you.
The fruit is just 1/2-inch in diameter, packed with flavor and juice. It's great for fresh eating, but also holds up well if frozen, and is ideal for canning. You just can't go wrong with 'Jewel'.
