Hydrangea Flirty Girl® False Hydrangea Vine

Hydrangea Flirty Girl® False Hydrangea Vine adds lightly fragrant white blooms to a vertical garden setting in early summer. Green foliage and young purple shoots contribute contrasting details around the flowers. This deciduous vine attaches itself to its support, combining an ornamental display with the ability to cover fences, walls, or trees as it develops. This selection is part of the Proven Winners® ColorChoice® Shrubs collection.

Use it as a specimen within a woodland garden or position it on a structure where the flowers can be appreciated. Plan for a mature height of up to 50 feet and a spread of up to 9 feet. Pollinator attraction adds another dimension to the floral display. Developed by Ppinires Minier in France, this selection also offers verified heat tolerance and an easy care character.

Provide part sun and moist, well drained soil, preferably on the acidic side, in USDA Zones 5 through 9. Clay tolerance gives additional guidance when assessing the planting site. Establishment is slow, and the vine needs vigorous growth on its intended support before flowering. Because it blooms on old wood and rarely requires pruning, routine cutting is generally unnecessary. Its defining reward is a display of lightly fragrant white flowers on a self attaching vine.
