Description
Member of the Jackson & Perkins Vault Collection and returning customer favorite

A very popular shrub rose, Golden Zest was bred by Jackson & Perkins in 2004 and is being released from the Jackson & Perkins library archive as a member of the exclusive J&P Vault Collection.

The Vault Collection includes popular roses that have enchanted gardeners for decades. Roses released from the vault are chosen, in part, because they represent the sentimental value and historical significance of cherished favorite roses that connect gardeners to the rich legacy of Jackson & Perkins.

Golden Zest flowers heavily in continuous waves over a long season, from late spring to late fall. Borne singly or in small clusters, the 4-inch old-fashioned quartered double blooms are cupped to flat and have 120 golden yellow petals and a strong anise fragrance. The sturdy stems are suitable for cut flower displays.

Golden Zest is a medium-sized shrub with a bushy habit. Easy to grow, Golden Zest is a good choice for beginners. Use shrub roses in mixed beds, hedges, borders, and containers.

I received the bareroots on 1/29/25, cut the branches down as instructed, and planted them 1/31/25.. today 2/10, they have SO many sprouts!! They are so beautiful even with just their little leaves! I cannot wait until I see their roses. I am so thrilled. !
