Gladiolus Sunrise Blend Bulbs

Sunrise Blend features three striking large-flowering gladiolus varieties: Essential, Black Star, and Bra Val. These statuesque blooms rise 38 to 60 inches tall, soaring above elegant, upright fans of strappy green leaves. With a dramatic palette of satiny white, lemony yellow, and velvety deep red—nearly black—this high-contrast blend creates breathtaking floral displays in the summer garden or cut arrangements for vases.

Sunrise Blend includes Gladiolus spp. varieties, commonly known as gladiolus, glads, or sword lilies, that are perennial in Zones 7-10. For the most spectacular display, plant bulbs in groups or masses in garden beds, borders, containers, or rock gardens. This blend is also a must-have for cutting gardens, delivering endless options for floral arrangements. In windy areas, staking may be required to support the tall stems.

Easy to grow, these gladiolus thrive in sunny to partially shaded locations with nutrient-rich, well-draining soil that retains some moisture. Amend sandy or clay-heavy soils with organic materials like peat moss or bark to enhance water retention and drainage. Fertilize lightly after planting and again during summer to encourage abundant blooms.
