4 Seasons of Spectacular Color!
This Dogwood grows best in moist, well-drained soil that range from neutral to acidic. Loamy and sandy soils make an ideal environment, particularly in areas that get sun in the morning and shade in the afternoon. Gardeners should prune the Baton Rouge to one foot from the ground in order to facilitate new growth. Songbirds will flock to the summer berries, and there is little to worry about from the deer population as they generally avoid the Baton Rouge.
