Description
Marvelous Ground cover Brightens Your Garden
This is one hot iceplant! Featuring quick spread, heavy bloom, and a long season of color, Delosperma Fire Spinner®will brighten up your sunny garden like nothing else can. An amazing cover for ugly, dry soil in the sunny border, along the driveway or on the slope where the hose can't reach, it's also remarkably durable.

This hardy iceplant spreads to about 1½-feet wide within just 2 seasons. When not in bloom, the small, needle-like, green foliage reaches just 1 to 2 inches high. When the spectacular 1½-inch flowers begin appearing in different colors, the height increases to just 4 inches. Though diminutive, the Delosperma Fire Spinner forms a dense mat, choking out weeds and retaining soil moisture.

Don't worry about heat, drought or extensive watering. Delosperma Fire Spinner will handle your groundcover needs. But give it a nice pampering the first season to get its root system established. No problems with poor, sandy, and infertile soils, either. Fire Spinner is unstoppable! Plant it in a container and use your own soil. Fire Spinner makes a marvelous display spilling over the sides.

Discovered at high elevation in South Africa and brought to this country by plant expert Panayoti Kelaidis of the Denver Botanic Garden, Delosperma Fire Spinner thrives from one end of the country to the other. Flowering in late spring in most climates and continuing through midsummer, hundreds of bright orange and magenta blooms will cover your garden floor, each starred with a bright white eye.

Unbothered by deer, Delosperma Fire Spinner spreads effectively on banks and slopes as well as level surfaces. Full sunshine and well-drained soil are its only requirements.

Dead!
This shopper rated the product 1 out of 5 stars

Watched it for a while before I decided to try it. Looked like the perfect plant for my spot. Very disappointed! It came almost dead. There were just a couple of green leaves so I had hope, but after a week it is now all dead. Don't know if I would try this again!

Super Dry
This shopper rated the product 4 out of 5 stars

My plants were doing great in the June and July. However, August was very hot and this pretty ground cover began to dry out. I as very disappointed. I believe 6 hours of sun was too much for them. I believe these pretty little blooming babies can survive in 3 or 4 hours of sun. Perhaps, morning is better. These plants dried up to nothing. Maybe they will come back better this year.
