Description

Great in Hot and Humid Climates Where Other Roses Struggle

Introduced in the late 1950s, Don Juan Climbing Rose has been a worldwide favorite ever since, never failing to impress with its waves of rich red and sweetly fragranced flowers. And as stunning as Don Juan Climbing Rose is on the vine, it makes the perfect gift as cut flowers.

Don Juan Climbing Rose is a prodigious climber quickly growing to heights of up to 10 feet and widths of up to 5 feet, this classic cultivar features deep red double blooms enriched with 30 to 35 velvety petals. The vigorous canes and glossy dark green foliage complete the ideal composition for arbors or trellises.

Magnificent when filled with large, fragrant blooms in the summer, Don Juan Climbing Rose shows its most dynamic color in climates with warm nights. Great in high humidity, Don Juan Climbing Rose is also prolific in cooler, drier climates.

Great memories attached to this rose--it decorated a fence while our children were young and teenagers. It's starting to develop rapidly now that the weather has warmed up here. We so look forward to the day when it is in full bloom.

Grades Don’t Match

This shopper rated the product 5 out of 5 stars

I ordered 2 Don Juan roses to go on each side of a newly built arbor. 1 of the roses was perfect in quality with well developed roots and canes. The other is puny with very little roots and had crossed canes which I had to prune. Happy with 1 but the other is a dud.
