A Jackson & Perkins Vault Rose, Color Magic is an exceptional hybrid tea bred by William Warriner and introduced by Jackson & Perkins in 1978.

Color Magic, considered one of the best of the best, is a truly mesmerizing variety that will keep you enchanted with its phototropic characteristics. The bush flushes throughout the season, setting high-centered double flowers that are 5 inches in diameter and flaunt between 20 and 30 wavy petals and a moderate to intense fruity fragrance. Each bloom artfully exhibits its own range of pink to salmon hues, depending on the amount of sun it receives. They typically have a light center surrounded by darker outer petals; however, some may be almost solid colored, giving you a variety of cool color combos on the same plant. These bewitching blooms are borne singly or in small clusters on long stems with few thorns and open fully flat exposing a sunny spot of golden stamens. Once cut for the vase, the color remains stable.

Color Magic is a large bush that can reach a mature size of 6 feet tall and 4 feet wide in optimal conditions. It has a vigorous growth rate and an upright, well-branched habit of glossy, medium green foliage. Hybrid teas are a great option for the back of garden beds and borders.
