Description
A small tree with fragrant flowers followed by super sweet & predominately seedless fruits

Discover the joy of homegrown citrus with the Clementine Mandarin Tree. This semidwarf variety is not only a prolific fruit producer but also a stunning addition to any garden or landscape. In the spring, the tree bursts into bloom with clusters of fragrant white flowers, paving the way for a bountiful harvest of vibrant mandarins from October to December. These juicy, easy-to-peel fruits are superior in quality, boasting a bright, sweet flavor and minimal seeds.

Known by many names, including De Nules Mandarin, Clemenules, and Clementina Reina, this variety of Citrus x clementina is a popular choice in California and the most widely grown clementine in Spain. While the terms mandarin and tangerine are often used interchangeably, mandarin typically refers to Asian varieties, while tangerine is used for African varieties.

Grafted onto a semi-dwarf rootstock, the Clementine Mandarin Tree has a compact growth habit, making it an excellent accent or specimen plant. It can also be trained as an espalier or grown in a container. In the garden, it can reach a height of 10 to 15 feet, but it can be pruned to maintain a desired size and shape. When grown in a container, the tree will be smaller but will still produce full-sized fruits.

This citrus tree thrives in heat and requires at least 8 hours of full sun daily. It prefers deep, well-draining soil but can tolerate a variety of soil types, except for heavy, wet soils. Protect your tree from strong winds and freezing temperatures. If grown in a container, move it indoors at the first sign of frost and ensure it receives plenty of bright sunshine. The Clementine Mandarin Tree is self-fertile and does not require pollen from other varieties to bear fruit.

Citrus trees will ship at the appropriate planting time based on your growing zone. Citrus trees do not ship in December or January. Plant height is 18-36" when shipped.
