From lilac to green, and all mauve in between
Candy Mountain Foxglove is an ultra-sturdy stem that is perfect for gardens or cutting for a vase. Large rosy pink bells are upturned just enough to tout its glory. Freckled interiors are revealed for a pleasing look even from a distance.
Each bloom stands on its own 20 inch stem as they open from the bottom up. Older blooms will turn into a rich mauve to blend perfectly with the newer rosy hues. These reveal hidden beauty unlike any other foxglove.
Expect an abundance of blooms in the early summer months with intermittent blooms continuing during all seasons for most climates. Candy Mountain Foxglove is attractive to hummingbirds, yet unpalatable to rabbits and deer.
Reaching a height of three to four feet tall and spreading up to two inches wide, Candy Mountain Foxglove never needs staking. You will find these beautiful blooms irresistible in the border, woodland painting and large containers. Full sun in the north, while sitting in partial shade in the south works best for long-term survival. Well-drained, organically rich soil works best and requires little care for the foxglove to flourish.
