Hakonechloa 'All Gold'

Who said grass is boring? Hakonechloa macra All Gold is a much-needed burst of glowing yellow for any open setting. It is a slow but persistent grower, especially in moist soil and even in heavily shaded areas. Eventually the plant reaches 18 inches wide and 14 inches high in a big, dazzling clump. In late summer or early autumn, you will notice brown flower spikes at the top of the plant, which you can trim or leave alone. Unlike other grasses, 'All Gold' is not at risk for becoming deer food.
