Description
America's favorite for old-fashioned elegance

Royal Horticultural Society Award of Garden Merit

The Hydrangea 'Annabelle' was discovered in an Anna, Illinois garden and is probably the most recognized and popular of the old-fashioned flowering shrubs grown in gardens throughout the United States. Once the shrub has taken root and begun to flourish, it will produce huge, 12-inch snow white flowers in early summer. The flowers will increase in size all the way into fall. This is one flower that is a must for any garden.

Reaching a height and width of four feet, the Hydrangea 'Annabelle' complements every color in your garden and will never get out of its bounds. The shrub grows best in the shade but will also tolerate humidity and heat. The leaves and flowers are great both fresh and dried. Many people have had success planting the Annabelle for accent planting, bordering, or creating an eye-catching white-and-pink hedge. This native species is very cold-tolerant, unlike most hydrangeas. So, if you live in a region with cold seasons, this is the flower for you.

Sparse flowers, if it flowers at all
This shopper rated the product 1 out of 5 stars

I purchased this in 2020, so I have had five years to watch it grow. It hardly blooms, no matter what I do. One year I had nothing but leaves, no blooms at all. The blooms are sparse, and when they do bloom, they do not look like this. I'm honestly not sure if I received the plant I should have. The blooms are cone-shaped, not round, and the flowers are not full like the picture.

Super, Easy, Dependable, and Floriferous!
This shopper rated the product 5 out of 5 stars

This hydrangea is easy to care for and has huge flowers (They get larger each year as the plant ages!) They are great as cut flowers and can even be dried. Unlike other hydrangeas they can be pruned anytime and always grow back beautifully. They maintain a great size. The white blooms of this adaptable shrub glow in the spring and summer garden. I have bought several over the years and am very happy. This is a must-have hydrangea!

Annabells-the best carefree show-stoppers ever!!
This shopper rated the product 5 out of 5 stars

I planted 2 Annabells on the east side of my home where it is was very boring and plain. Even before they were fully established, my neighbors on the east were ranting and raving how beautiful they were and thanked me for their view! Awesome at cut flowers also. They keep for weeks.
