Working on the Archimedic principle of water displacement, this piece is both functional and beautiful. As water gathers in the solid copper flute, the sturdy blue polycarbonate tube, which is outfitted with specially calibrated float, drifts upward and displays the measurement.
Equipped with large numbers for greater visibility than standard rain gauges, each of these lovely handmade in the USA pieces is affixed to a tough, powder-coated, rust-resistant steel mount.
The copper flute is 1½ inch wide (interior diameter) x 6 inch high. The inner blue tube is approx. 1½ inch (interior diameter) x 1½ inch (outer diameter) x 6 inch long.
