The Caladium 'Sweetheart' begins as a simple bush with heart-shaped, magenta foliage. During the summer, the plant grows remarkably fast, averaging out to 15 inches in height and width. Even the stems themselves are a bubblegum pink, patterned with darker veins and white specks. The little details of this exotic plant are not to be ignored. This variety will thrive well in just about any rich soil. Partial to full shade proves to be the best for this flower. A temperature range between 75 and 85 degrees Fahrenheit allows the bulbs to flourish at their best. Alternatively, they make very good houseplants for the winter.
