Compact Red is a bold, very well-branched, downright beautiful plant 14 to 28 inches high (it will reach 2 feet or more in warmer, longer-summer climates; in northern areas, expect it to be closer to 14 to 16 inches high in bloom) and 12 to 24 inches wide. Even in full sun, these bright flowers refuse to fade. They are banked by masses of dark green leaves with lighter veining -- showy in themselves, but you may not be able to study them when the blooms are in full force, covering the top of the plant!

Compact Red is made for containers, and you will love it either as a solo or part of the combination planting. But it's also a garden standout, terrific for plantings large and small. It fills space without being aggressive, so you can set it among other annuals without fear of competition.
