This floribunda offers masses of 3-inch blooms that open from fat, pointed buds of dark pink. As they unfurl, the petals recurve in a cupped, quartered style bloom made popular by David Austin roses. The fragrance is very strong—heavenly!
Best of all, the flowers appear very heavily in late spring and early summer, then repeat all season, never quite as profusely but still very generously. Individual flowers on stems to 8 inches long are found among shorter ones in the cluster, enabling you to cut the "long stemmed" ones for bouquets.
Summer Romance reaches about 4 feet high and 3 feet wide and is adaptable to tough environments. It was bred without growth regulators in Germany, so it comes by its toughness honestly, and you will find it very resilient.
