Description
2007 All-American Rose Selection | Highly Fragrant Blooms
Strike it Rich is a magnificent grandiflora that won All-American Rose Selection honors in 2007, and once you see it, you'll know exactly why here at Jackson and Perkins, we feel it's a must-have for any rose lover.

Throughout the growing season, it sets large clusters of extra-long, elegantly pointed ovoid buds that offer a mixture of rose, pink, and gold tones on red stems. Once open, they reveal fully double, 5-inch blossoms, each comprised of 30 petals that are a rich golden-yellow highlighted with orange-pink. And the fragrance is a wonderfully welcome added bonus: a strong citrusy clove scent. Long-lasting and perfectly formed, they are simply stunning in cutflower bouquets.

Strike it Rich is vigorous, well branched, bushy, and naturally disease resistant, reaching a mature size of 2 to 3 feet wide and 5 to 6 feet high—it creates an impressive display in the sunny garden. The glossy, dark green leaves look lovely even when not adorned with the vibrantly colored flowers, and the blooms it sets arrive in abundance, gracing the plant in flushes over a long season. You'll feel like you've hit the jackpot with this gorgeous grandiflora gracing your garden.

Plant Strike it Rich in well-drained soil in full sun. Prune in the spring by removing old and dead wood as well as canes that cross. If you live in warmer climates, we recommend you cut back the remaining canes by about one-third, a bit more if you live in colder areas.

Love It!
This shopper rated the product 5 out of 5 stars

This rose is an absolute dream. I planted it in early May and it grew so fast and has many repeat bloom cycles now in August. It is stunning to behold. The contrast of the red stems, deep green foliage and multi colored blooms is something to behold. And then you place your nose up to the beautiful blooms and breathe in the fantastic fragrance . It doesn't get better than this. This is a very easy rose to grow and holds up great in Southern California heat. The blooms last a long time on the bush and even longer in the vase.

Honesty of their personnel
This shopper rated the product 5 out of 5 stars

I called to find out if it is too late to plant a bare root rose in my area. I expected them to say "Oh it will be alright" wanting to sell roses. However I received completely honest information...It is too late. I appreciate very much their honesty!!! I have purchased bare root roses from them before and have always been very pleased with them. Thank you for being a reputable dealer!
