Throughout the growing season, it sets large clusters of extra-long, elegantly pointed ovoid buds that offer a mixture of rose, pink, and gold tones on red stems. Once open, they reveal fully double, 5-inch blossoms, each comprised of 30 petals that are a rich golden-yellow highlighted with orange-pink. And the fragrance is a wonderfully welcome added bonus: a strong citrusy clove scent. Long-lasting and perfectly formed, they are simply stunning in cutflower bouquets.
Strike it Rich is vigorous, well branched, bushy, and naturally disease resistant, reaching a mature size of 2 to 3 feet wide and 5 to 6 feet highit creates an impressive display in the sunny garden. The glossy, dark green leaves look lovely even when not adorned with the vibrantly colored flowers, and the blooms it sets arrive in abundance, gracing the plant in flushes over a long season. You'll feel like you've hit the jackpot with this gorgeous grandiflora gracing your garden.
Plant Strike it Rich in well-drained soil in full sun. Prune in the spring by removing old and dead wood as well as canes that cross. If you live in warmer climates, we recommend you cut back the remaining canes by about one-third, a bit more if you live in colder areas.
