Member of the J&P Vault Collection and returning customer favorite
A very popular hybrid tea rose bred by Jackson & Perkins in 2003, Ronald Reagan is being released from the Jackson & Perkins library archive as a founding member of the exclusive J&P Vault Collection. Roses in this limited-edition collection are fondly remembered old-time favorites, some of which have been unavailable to backyard gardeners for generations.
On November 20, 1986, President Ronald Reagan declared the rose the National Flower of the U.S.A. in a special ceremony in the White House Rose Garden. We've brought back this popular favorite, in part, due to it's exceptionally long stems that make this hybrid tea rose ideal for cutting and displaying in vases and bouquets.
Ronald Reagan flowers in continuous waves over a long season, from late spring to late fall. Borne mostly singly or in small clusters, the 4-inch double blooms have a classic hybrid tea form; a light, sweet fragrance; and 30 red petals with a pale reverse. The long 16- to 20-inch sturdy stems are ideal for cutting.
Ronald Reagan is a large bush with an upright habit. Hybrid tea roses are perfect for single plantings and mixed beds.
