Red Masterpiece Hybrid Tea Rose

A Jackson & Perkins Vault Rose, Red Masterpiece was hybridized by J&P (William Warriner) in 1974. A work of art, this classic hybrid tea is a proven performer that has it all. It flushes throughout the season, setting big buds that gracefully unfurl into extra-large, very full, 5-inch flowers with 40 velvety, reflexed, dark red petals set against a backdrop of large and leathery dark green foliage. Borne singly on elegant, long, and strong stems, the classic high-centered, exhibition quality blooms have a strong and rich old-rose fragrance and make an excellent cut flower for display.

Red Masterpiece is a medium-sized bush with an upright habit and vigorous growth. At a mature 4 feet tall and 3 feet wide, it fits nicely in a large container or small-garden bed or border. To be its best, this rose may require a bit more care and attention than more modern varieties but expect to be rewarded for your efforts.
