Paeonia 'Bowl of Beauty' Peony

Plant 'Bowl of Beauty' Peony bulbs in fall before the first frost, and in spring, enjoy the sight of this award-winning peony's fragrant, 8-inch anemone-shaped blooms. The rose-pink outer petals elegantly cup a densely packed center of yellow to cream inner petals, all perched on super strong stems, making them superb cut flowers. These stately flowers rise 24 to 36 inches tall above bushy mounds of glossy green foliage, which adds seasonal interest by turning purplish or golden in autumn. In the garden, these stunning blooms attract butterflies and hummingbirds.

A Paeonia lactiflora variety, commonly known as 'Bowl of Beauty', this peony is a bulbous herbaceous perennial with a clumping habit that can live for decades, even generations. Perfect for classic cottage gardens, these peonies create spectacular displays when massed in borders or mixed beds but also make lovely specimen or container plants.

Plant 'Bowl of Beauty' bulbs 4 to 6 inches apart and 1 to 2 inches deep in a sunny to partially shady spot with humus-rich, medium moist, well-draining soil, away from trees or shrubs to avoid competition. Peonies do not like to be transplanted, so choose their location carefully. Once the plants begin to grow, feed them with Espoma Organic® Bulb-tone® Bulb and Flower Food to encourage healthy blooms.
