Description
Perennial daffodils that multiply and brighten your garden year after year

The Narcissus Naturalizing Dream Mix is perfect for gardeners looking to create a lasting display of daffodils that reappear and spread year after year. These daffodils are exceptional at perennializing in most regions of the US, multiplying over the years when left undisturbed. As natural naturalizers, their sprawling clumps of long, flat, strap-like leaves and showy blooms return annually, possibly for decades, provided they have adequate space, sunlight, water, and fertilizer. Plant the Naturalizing Dream Mix bulbs in the fall before the first frost, and enjoy a vibrant mix of yellow and white flowers atop sturdy stems in early to mid-spring. These daffodils will brighten your early season garden and make beautiful bunch bouquets.

These Narcissus varieties, commonly known as daffodils, have an upright, clumping habit and grow to a height of 18 inches. Daffodils are versatile plants that look their best when grouped or massed in mixed beds, borders, and patio pots. They are ideal for planting in large sweeping drifts in open areas, masses under deciduous trees, or smaller groupings in front of shrubs. They mix well with ground covers and other spring-blooming bulbs in the garden and can also be forced to bloom indoors during the winter.

Cold hardy to USDA Zone 3, this blend of naturalizing daffodils is virtually foolproof to grow and easy to maintain. Daffodils prefer areas with cool winters and warm, dry summers, but they adapt well to most USDA Zones if there is a discernible winter. They grow best in sunny to partly shady locations with rich, fertile, well-draining soil that has a neutral to acidic pH. Water daffodils during their growth period, but avoid overwatering, as bulbs do not tolerate wet feet. When planting, space the bulbs 8 inches apart and plant them 6 inches deep. For robust flowering, feed the bulbs with a balanced fertilizer like Espoma Organic® Bulb-tone® Bulb and Flower Food as soon as new growth appears in the spring. After flowering, allow the foliage to die back naturally before cutting it away, as the leaves continue to nourish the bulbs, ensuring future growth and blooming. Daffodils are also relatively pest-free and deer-resistant, making them a low-maintenance and reliable choice for your garden.
