Lilium Stargazer Oriental Lily Bulbs

For best results, plant Stargazer Oriental lily bulbs in the fall before the first frost. While they can also be planted in early spring, fall planting allows the bulbs to root well and establish themselves before flowering in midsummer. These tall and slender plants grow 36 to 48 inches high, with each sturdy stem supporting 6 to 8 outward-facing, bowl-shaped blooms in striking pink and white hues. The highly fragrant flowers emit a spicy scent and feature long, pollen-covered stamens that attract pollinators like butterflies and hummingbirds. Florist-quality and perfect for cutting, Stargazer lilies make excellent additions to summer bouquets and mixed floral arrangements. When cutting, be sure to leave at least 2/3 of the stem with leaves intact to ensure the bulb renews for the following year's growth and flowering.

Stargazer, a Lilium oriental species commonly known as Oriental lily, is a bulbous perennial with an upright habit and rapid growth rate. It is a strong naturalizer that will return year after year under optimal conditions. Plant Stargazer Oriental lily bulbs 6 to 8 inches apart and 6 to 8 inches deep. Choose a location that receives 6 to 8 hours of sunlight each day and has well-draining soil. These lilies prefer cool, medium moist soils with a slightly acidic pH and thrive best with their heads in the sun and their roots shaded by low-growing companion plants.
