A Proven Winners® ColorChoice® Flowering Shrubs variety, is a deciduous shrub offer 3 seasons of interest. This variegated privet lights up the landscape with its brilliant foliage in bright golden and green hues.
A Ligustrum ovalifolium, commonly called privet or California privet (although it is native to Japan), Good Vibrations is well-branched and has a compact, mounded habit, growing to about half the size of a normal privet, ranging from 3 to 5 feet high and 2 to 4 feet wide. The dense branching responds well to pruning, which makes it perfect for a specimen, formal hedge, or topiarylet your imagination run wild. Unpruned, the plant has a naturally loose, airy appearance, which is nice used in the landscape or as screening. It also makes a great container plant.
Easy-care, privet grows best in sunny to partly sunny locations with average, well-draining soil. It benefits from yearly fertilization in spring. Pruning is not required, but any desired shaping should be done in spring or summer. Ligustrum Good Vibrations is heat and drought tolerant and deer resistant.
