Iris 'Casablanca' Dutch Iris Bulbs

'Casablanca' is a Dutch iris that graces late spring with its ethereal beauty. On sturdy stems rising 18 to 24 inches tall above a grassy clump of leaves, the pure white, orchid-like blooms feature a striking yellow eye and resemble birds in flight. An Iris x hollandica species, commonly referred to as iris, 'Casablanca' is a hardy perennial in Zones 5-9. In colder climates, it can be grown as an annual or the bulbs can be lifted and stored for overwintering. A fantastic choice for naturalizing, 'Casablanca' returns year after year, creating breathtaking displays in beds, borders, and groupings of 15 bulbs per square foot. This iris is also well-suited for decorative patio pots and can be forced to bloom throughout the year.

'Casablanca' iris thrives in sunny locations with rich, porous soil that drains well while retaining adequate moisture. Amend heavy clay or sandy soils with peat moss or ground bark to improve texture and water retention. While growing, water frequently and thoroughly, ensuring water reaches the roots.
