Gladiolus 'Mon Amour' Bulbs

'Mon Amour' is a large-flowering gladiolus that grows between 36 and 60 inches tall, bringing an architectural elegance to any garden. Blooming in midsummer, this variety produces dense spikes of ruffled bicolor flowers in soft pastel shades of lavender and yellow. The silky petals create a striking display as they open from the bottom to the top of the scape. Borne on strong, slender stems, the long-lasting blooms are perfect for stunning monofloral bouquets or as showstoppers in the garden.

A Gladiolus x hortulanus variety, commonly known as gladiolus, glads, or sword lilies, 'Mon Amour' is a tender perennial in Zones 8-10. For the most dramatic effect, plant 'Mon Amour' in groups within garden beds, borders, or containers. In breezy areas, staking may be needed to support the tall flower spikes.

'Mon Amour' thrives in full sun to partial shade, preferring rich, porous soil that drains well while retaining enough moisture for healthy roots. Amend sandy or clay-heavy soils with organic matter such as bark or peat moss for better structure and drainage.
