Description
A unique dogwood shrub with award-winning, ever-changing color

Bronze Award KVBC Summer Challenge 2021

A Proven Winners® ColorChoice® Flowering Shrubs variety, Cornus Sgt. Pepper™ is a multistemmed deciduous shrub grown for its pretty form and ever-changing foliage color. Its green and white variegated leaves emerge with pink tones, which fade with the onset of summer but return at summer's end, as the white leaf margins become bright pink and stems turn deep red in autumn. Flat-topped clusters of small flowers bloom in spring, giving way to white drupes (berries), which ripen midsummer. The flowers are nice additions to floral arrangements, and the drupes are a tasty treat for songbirds.

A Cornus alba species, commonly called dogwood, red-barked dogwood, white dogwood, or Tatarian dogwood, Sgt. Pepper has a moderate to vigorous growth rate and a broad, upright, spreading habit. Shown to best effect when grouped or massed, dogwood shrubs are perfect for mixed beds and hedges. But they also make great specimen plants.

Cold Hardy, durable, and easy to grow, dogwood shrubs grow best in partly sunny to partly shady locations with organically rich, consistently moist, well-draining soil but are tolerant of a wide range of soils, including alkaline and clay soils. The plant is drought tolerant and deer resistant.

Awesome bush!
This shopper rated the product 5 out of 5 stars

I have had 2 big shipments of tree roses, butterfly bushes n phlox in a month. I wish we had the brochure book with the first shipment bc it wouldve helped the labdscaper plant the rose trees. I haven't bought a dogwood bush from here but the one I had was amazing. It had a life n mind of it's own. Each year I cut it back then it flourished even bigger. It loved small amounts of miracle gro then blythe hit everything one yr. We brought it back with used coffee grounds and water. I'm in southern Ohio zone 6. Not everything works for all ppl. But mine n all my plants n roses love music. After all, God created them why not share joy with them too? I can't wait to get another dogwood bush n trees plus a lamb's ear at our new home. This place is rockin. Thank you JP!!!

I received a small, but healthy plant. It's doing well, so I'm looking forward to great things in the spring.
