All-America Rose Selections (AARS) Winner 1995
A Jackson & Perkins Vault Rose, Brass Band was introduced by J&P in 1994. Remarkably beautiful, reasonably compact, and well-branched, this floribunda rose blooms in flushes throughout the growing season. Pretty yellow buds, borne in rounded clusters, slowly unfurl to reveal 3-inch, cuppy blooms with up to 40 thick petals in an apricot blend with a lemon-yellow reverse and wavy to ruffled edges. A cut flower favorite, the long-lasting blooms have a light damask fragrance and make fabulous additions to mixed floral arrangements or single cut bouquets.
Brass Band has an upright, bushy habit of glossy, dark green foliage, growing up to 4 feet tall and 3 feet wide. This floribunda rose is a great container, accent, or bedding plant; and planted in small groups, it's a lovely option for a border, foundation, or low rose hedge. But Brass Band is a must-have in a cutting garden.
