Description
A vibrant mix of large, double blooms for stunning garden displays

Plant Anemone 'St. Brigid Group' bulbs in fall (warm climates) or early spring (cold climates) to enjoy a breathtaking array of large, double blooms in late spring to early summer. Borne singly on long, sturdy stems that reach up to 12 to 18 inches tall, the velvety, poppy-like flowers showcase a rich mix of colors, making dramatic additions to gardens and cut flower arrangements. Butterflies love them too, adding life and movement to your garden.

The 'St. Brigid Group' includes Anemone coronaria varieties, also known as wind flowers. These rhizomatous perennials (Zones 7-10) feature finely divided, fern-like green foliage and a clumping, mounded habit. Ideal for ground cover, they thrive in woodland and rock gardens, while their vibrant mix of colors is best displayed in sweeping drifts of about 16 bulbs per square foot. Perfect for containers as well, wind flowers pair beautifully with late daffodils and tulips, creating an enchanting garden display.

Extremely easy to grow, 'St. Brigid Group' anemones adapt to various soil types, including sandy, loamy, and neutral or acidic soils. They prefer full sun but tolerate light shade, especially in hot climates. Fertilize in spring as foliage emerges, and enjoy their deer- and rabbit-resistant qualities for a low-maintenance garden addition.

Soak the small corms in lukewarm water for several hours or overnight before planting them 2 to 3 inches deep and 3 to 6 inches apart. In colder zones (3-6), lift the bulbs in fall for overwintering. Bring vibrant, double blooms to your garden with the 'St. Brigid Group' anemones.
