Pack of 5 BulbsPlant Oxalis Candy Cane Bulbs in early to mid-fall, and in summer, it blooms in daintybut dramatic1-inch white flowers with a red edge on the reverse. Showy in bud and bloom, the fun and festive trumpet-shaped flowers appear striped as they spiral open in sunshine and close at night.
An Oxalis versicolor, commonly called shamrock, candy cane sorrel, or wood sorrel, Candy Cane is a bulbous perennial (Zones 7 to 9), often grown as annual, with a bushy, clumping, spreading habit of delicate, fine-textured foliage. It naturalizes easily, with its sprawling clumps of narrow, linear foliage and showy blooms appearing year after year, possibly for decades in ideal conditions. Best planted in groups, oxalis is a perfect bed, border, or container plant.
Easy to grow and maintain, the plant grows best in sunny to partly shady sheltered locations with humus-rich, sandy, well-draining soil. Plant 1 to 1½ inches deep.
