Unbelievable Color Changes

Perfect for foundation or border

Because it changes the color of its blooms every few weeks, the Fire and Ice™ Panicle Hydrangea deserves a special place of honor in any garden. Plant this shrub in a highly visible location so that you can enjoy the changing hues every several weeks. This hydrangea is very compact, which means it's at home in either the garden or container.

The soft, cream-colored blooms open at the beginning of spring and contrast wonderfully with the bright green leaves. By midsummer, the florets will have changed to a light pink. Not long after, the entire flower will be a rich, cotton candy pink. Starting in late summer and continuing throughout fall, the flowers will turn a deep burgundy color.

This panicle hydrangea grows best in partial shade. Plant this flowering shrub along the driveway or against the house so that you can watch the daily changes in coloring. As an added bonus, this plant is addictive for butterflies and hummingbirds.
