Received last Spring (2017) as a bare root. Followed directions provided, planted in a very large pot, it grew and bloomed beautifully all summer. This spring it is up and looking great. Since in North West where no long periods of freezing, no special protection provided and it tolerated what brief freezes we had without problem. A few aphids, no black spot nor mildew during last summer. Recommend.

Lovely! Off you like rose bushes as annuals

Last year I planted two of these roses along with several hundred dollars worth of other J&P roses. These bushes especially took off and geese grew grew and blamed like crazy (a couple others didn’t do much at all, the rest did OK) then his spring despite mulching and covering as usual with the rest of my roses they were all dead as a door nail. Roses from Walmart (you know, the ones in the plastic bags?) came back fine, fancy own roots from our local nursery came back fine, the J&P were toast. Zone 5b

One of my favorite roses from JP! I live in Southeast Louisiana, outside New Orleans. This rose is one of the best performers in my garden. It has a lovely rounded habitat, beautiful foliage, and PROLIFIC, FRAGRANT blooms! I planted it last year bare root and it quickly became the star performer of the garden, surviving summer and blooming into November. I did have to use a fungicide during the summer months, but that's to be expected in my climate. I've had blooms on it this year since the end of February!
