Different color

Bought the bare root tree and it’s doing incredibly well. Have the first buds/flowers after 4 weeks in the ground. The flowers are a lovely fushia, not dark purple. I hope in the cooler months the flowers darken.

This rose changes the shade of purple based on temperatures. When the temperatures are cooler, it is the color shown online. As the temperatures rise, it becomes a deep fuchsia. Regardless, it is beautiful.

Ebb Tide Rose

Unlike all the other roses I've purchases from Jackson Perkins, this one failed to thrive after being planted. It put out two leaves and died promptly thereafter. I love the color so will purchase again when available.

Ebb Tide is amazing
Kristen from CA wrote on April 22, 2018

I received it as a bare root bush roughly two months ago. Its already covered with over 20 buds and the first have started to bloom. The bud does start as a deep burgandy, but the color darkens to the bold purple within hours of it opening. And the scent is stunning. Its quite strong, and just beautiful. I'm in love with this rose. It delivered on everything JP promised.

Not anything like shown.

At best, this is a dark fuchsia rose. I choose it for the color but it is not at all as described. The plant itself has been weak since arrival. The positive; the flowers, when seen, smell amazing. If it seems to good to be true, it probably is.
