The smoky orange flowers have a cream reverse, are fully double, packed with 25 petals each, and display the classic hybrid tea form: high-centered, whorled, and slow to open. They arise in flushes (from ovoid buds) on Cinnamon Girl Miniature Rose all season long and simply cover this mini shrub, seemingly from top to bottom.
The foliage on Cinnamon Girl Miniature Rose is healthy, and the growth is vigorous. It tolerates extreme heat without dropping a petal, yet Cinnamon Girl Miniature Rose is also cold hardy through Zone 4.
The diminutive cultivar thrives in full sun and well-drained soil. Spring pruning is recommended for Cinnamon Girl Miniature Rose, along with removal of old and dead wood and cut canes that cross each other. Bare root roses are the most common form of roses for spring and early season planting, and come in two types: grafted and own root.
Grafted roses, sometimes referred to as budded bare root roses, have roots that belong to a different variety of rose than the shoots. While the shoots will grow into the variety of rose you've selected, the root variety has been specially grown and developed for hardiness, improved resistance to common diseases, and improved resistance to certain weather conditions. The roots on any grafted rose you receive are usually already two years old, so they'll establish in your garden more quickly when planted.
Own root roses are grown from rose shoot cuttings and develop their own root system. Unlike grafted roses, both their roots and shoots come from the same variety of plant.
All Jackson & Perkins bare root roses are maintained in a suspended state of growth in our state-of-the-art wet cooler, so they'll be delivered to you with no foliage or blooms. The wet cooler has a uniform storage temperature set just above freezing and uses a fog system to provide consistent humidity of 100%, ensuring the roses remain fully hydrated and don't exit dormancy before leaving our facility. Please read and follow the instructions below carefully to keep your plant healthy. Thoroughly water your new plant upon arrival, but do not over water.
Remove faded blooms to encourage reblooming.
Display your miniature roses in a well-ventilated area that gets at least 4 hours of bright, indirect light each day and, ideally, maintains a temperature around 70°F.
Keep soil moist but not soggy. To water, remove the plant from its basket or outer container, water over a sink, and allow the pot to drain before returning to its container.
Apply complete liquid fertilizer at half strength every 4 weeks throughout the growing and flowering season, typically late spring to late fall.

Remove any dead or yellow leaves.
Miniature roses may be moved outside when the bloom display has finished and the chance of frost has passed. Select an area in your garden that has good drainage and receives at least 6 hours of sun each day. Or transplant your rose into a larger pot and enjoy on a sunny porch or patio.
