A continuously blooming roseNo Wonder it won the All-America Rose Selections (AARS) award in 2003.
A classic French rose with an everblooming habit coupled with unbeatable blackspot and powdery mildew resistance.
Cherry Parfait™ is a truly remarkable rose. This grandiflora sets exquisite blooms with a white base, often shading through pink or peach before terminating in a lipstick-red edge. Four inches wide and perfectly formed, the flowers arise continuously all summer long. And the best part? This shrub stands up to blackspot and powdery mildew effortlessly!
Bred by the famous rosarians the House of Meilland, Cherry Parfait™ is a standout in every way. Few roses blooms continuously all summer (rather than in waves, with rests between each flush), and fewer still do so with long-stemmed, exhibition-quality flowers. No wonder Cherry Parfait™ received an All-America Selection in 1963 . . . and just keeps becoming more popular with each passing season!
This shrub is well-branched and lush, standing 5 feet tall and about 4 to 5 feet wide. The show begins with small pointed buds that unfurl into high-centered, fully double, flat cup-shaped blooms on stems 10 to 14 inches long. Extreme temperatures (both hot and cold) are no problem for it. For quicker rebloom, spent flowers should be removed and spring pruning is helpful. It is a wonderful bed or border plant and also makes a gorgeous cut flower or ornamental. Do add this one to your collection -- you will be so glad you did!
